As I was photo journaling this event for him, running from vantage point to vantage point while trying to figure out the approximate time he might meet each completion, the proud "mama" in me kept swelling knowing that he would indeed complete this triathlon because that is who he is - a goal oriented young man that finishes and accomplishes what he sets out to do. It defines who Rob is. And he will always be AN IRONMAN! Congratulations Rob, this was one of my most joyful, memorable experiences if my life and yours!! Then to get a bunch of adversity tossed at you during the race (stuff like that messes with an oxygen starved brain, trust me) and finish as you did is awesome.
